Description

Another sweat dripper from Konami, Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA features 74 different songs to dance to, an adventure mode, online play, and EyeToy support.

The game includes animated dancers as well as classic music videos to accompany your dancing. A versus mode allows two people to play on two dance pads at once. The game also can interact with data from its arcade sibling.

New songs can be unlocked by playing "Stellar Master" mode. This "adventure" will take you to dance through a series of alien planets. You'll be starting with 42 games and from there you'll unlock the rest.

The EyeToy allows you to use your hands to interact with the screen to give you more of a full body dancing.

DDR is back?

The Good
Great song list, one of my favorites. Visuals are some of the best in the series. Lots of content and a big variety of challenges. Neat character designs, great presentation with the menus. Stellar Master Mode is an interesting take on DDR's mission mode and the 'licenses' are fun to get. Has some quality charts here and there.

The Bad
Some late game/hidden challenges are stupidly difficult (AAA on all boss songs, good luck doing that on a PS2). Some seriously jank/uncreative charts in this game, some of the worst in the entire mainline series (ITG died for this???) No extra info for the songs either, this is the only PS2 game that doesn't have them!

The Bottom Line
Great music, great game, some questionable charts...
