So, I'd definitely track down a copy of this game just for the Sea Bomber variations, they make owning the game worth it. After all, I would've rated this game considerably lower if it weren't for the Sea Bomber games that were included with it. Bombs away!

Even with two different game forms, there just is not enough depth to this game to give it any real lasting value. It is a very common game, so it would not be too hard to find or expensive to buy, but that is really the only particularly good thing that can be said about this game. If you have a paddle controller, maybe it is worth paying a dollar for, but it is not worth much more than that.

Canyon Bomber can be fun in very small doses, but overall it’s just a little too primitive.

Although best played against a friend, there are also single-player variations of Canyon Bomber. The brain-dead computer opponent just seems to drop bombs continuously, but it still somehow manages to kick my butt. Canyon Bomber is playable, but definitely not my idea of a good time on a Saturday night.

Canyon Bomber’s design philosophy is flawed from the ground up. No control over the flying vehicles means that any level of strategy must give way to frantically trying to outdo your opposition in earning more points first, and every issue with the canyon bombing task evolves from that. Planning strategic drops is a losing game, but the mode that could have made up for this, Sea Bomber, faces issues with collision detection that aren’t helped by that minimal control over the way the game plays out. With a fellow human you may squeeze a small bit of enjoyment from the flawed-in-execution Sea Bomber, but Canyon Bomber is a write-off that dominates most of the cartridge and imposes its bad ideas on the smaller game.
