Raze (Jun, 1991)
An exciting race game, worthy of any 7800 gamesplayers library.
Upon casual inspection, Motor Psycho could easily be mistaken for just another Pole Position clone that uses motorcycles instead of cars. There are a number of similarities: four different tracks (like Pole Position II), high/low gear shift, qualifying runs, and a requirement to beat the clock each lap. However, while Motor Psycho is clearly cast in the Pole Position mold, it has a completely different feel from its predecessor and comes off as a somewhat better game than the Atari 7800 version of Pole Position II.
The Video Game Critic (Aug 05, 2001)
There's no sense of place or rank, and the other motorcyclists seem to appear randomly. Holding down the left accelerate button made my thumb tired. The right button is for jumps, which let you catch big air before landing on a sign and exploding. It's too bad the jump feature wasn't fully realized - it was a good idea. The graphics are pretty mediocre, although the rolling hills don't look too bad. There are four boring tracks, differentiated mainly by color scheme. Besides arrow signs, there's no scenery on either side of the road. There are some glitches in the sound effects, making the game unpleasant to listen to at times. It's not particularly fun to play either.
