Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves

aka: Ali Baba
Moby ID: 9320

Atari 8-bit version

Fun multiplayer game, cooperative or competitive

The Good
It's a large game, many rooms, many storylines, particularly for a very early computer with little memory. You get the deep immersing of a RPG in a very simple game that you can play with your family. Also, you can save your progress! So you can play for an hour, then save and turn off game. Come back next week and continue where you left off. Game relies more on strategy than quick reflexes.

The Bad
The game accesses the disk drive fairly often.

The Bottom Line
A multiplayer RPG that's very easy to learn, that the whole family can play for many many hours. You can play with joysticks or the keyboard.
