I am sure if this sounds as weird as the game really is and right now you are thinking WTF! But don’t let that put you off as Necromancer is quite easily one of the finest games to grace the Atari 8-bits. The graphics are superb with a great use of colour and attention to detail. The sound is even better with some of the best sound effects in any A8 game and a wonderfully haunting title track. Necromancer is a must-have title for all Atari computer fans.
People who are fond of black magic but squeamish when it comes to the ingredients (eye of newt, tongue of lizard, wing of bat, etc.) will be ecstatic over Necromancer. This enchantingly original game allows you to weave perfectly respectable spells without having to deal with anything really repulsive.

Although its graphics are terrific and its soundtrack haunting, Necromancer is one of those games whose whole is less than the sum of its parts. It takes a while to figure it out, and once you do, you may be sorry you even bothered.
The graphics in the game are superb using every color available On the Atari. The details are as good as the colors showing the leaves of trees that sway in the wind. It's a fast paced game with plenty of action to keep even the best arcader busy with joystick controls. This is definitely one of the best games in the Synapse line for the Atari. Even the best arcader will have a difficult time defeating the wizard and reaching level five of Act Three.
