Even though this is a budget offering a few things were annoying. The game didn't auto-boot, you have to click on it from the desktop and the instructions begin on the right hand side of the page and continue on the left. Also it only takes up 100k of a single sided disk. Budget priced doesn't always mean budget quality, but in this case it probably does.
There's no denying that this is a real old mishmash of famous games, but in the still-high-cost 16-bit market at its budget price it ain't half bad.
Apart from superior sound on the Amiga, both versions are identical in looks and gameplay. The 3D graphics are smooth and fast, and although the action is rather repetitive, Chase isn't a bad return for a tenner.
The gameplay is limited, and once you've been round the levels it all gets boring. The vector graphics are smooth and fast, and the 3D update convincing, especially in the tunnel sequence, but in the end they're wasted on what's an ultimately shallow and tedious game.
