Ending

The game has rightfully earned its place in the Hall of Shame for games with the worst ending sequences. The player's reward for successfully shooting through hundreds of terrorists is a blue screen with one line: "You completed your mission".

References

The high-score list of Die Hard 2: Die Harder is filled alternately with the names "John" and "Holly", which are the screen names of the hero and his wife in the movie. Holly places first, having scored the respectable amount of 100,000 points.

Movie

Die Hard 2, a 70 million special effects firework, was a huge box office hit all around the world, earning more than 230 million dollars. It is considered a model example of a good action movie. None of the several computer game conversions could live up to that.
