ST Action (Jan, 1993)
Three disks cram packed with loads of Nazi bashing and adventuring action and at the ridiculously low price of 12.99, this is one of those games which you can't afford to miss. Want to know how to rid yourself of post-Christmas melancholia? Simply shell out the nominal asking price and rest assured they'll be no more boring days and certainly no more lonely nights. Hmm, now where do I find that Grail? [Budget re-release]
The magnificent graphics (which appear to have benefitted from dithering) for both ST and PC are quite similar, with the obvious improvements to the STs internal sound. Indy is an excellent game which displays plenty of humour. Incidentally, the scene in the Zeppelin where Indy 'destroys' the radio was actually cut out of the film but kept in the game! How about that value for money?
Atari ST User (Dec, 1989)
This is probably the most taxing adventure I have played since Lurking Horror. The puzzles are fair and logical, yet swathed in innuendo and riddle. The atmosphere is electric and the humour refreshingly Indiana Jones burlesque. I love the game and recommend it wholeheartedly. But it's a shame about the poor music.
Power Play (Jan, 1990)
ST Action (Mar, 1993)
You can only get respect for so long wearing the same clothes throughout three films! All the money they made and no new wardrobe!
This aside, there is much to recommend about the game. It is very well presented and has tremendous depth. The majority of the problems are not too hard, particularly for people who have seen the film, and being unable to solve one puzzle does not necessarily lead to a dead-end, as not all need to be solved to complete the game. Even so, it is not a game that will be finished overnight, as each of the main locations is a game in itself. Fans of the Indiana Jones movies will get a lot from the program, but be warned: progress can be very slow.

If you liked Zak you'll love Indy: the sheer size alone will occupy you for months. Six disks' worth of adventure for 25 quid is cracking value, and the large Grail Diary included in the packaging helps evoke the right atmosphere. Indiana Jones adventures may have come to an end, because the Indy films have, but they've gained immortality too - just like the hero in his last crusade.
Empfehlenswert!
