What saves this game, however is the drama of the setting; some excellent if rather sombre graphics; tough puzzles and a useful icon-driven command system. These features do help to maintain interest, but let's hope that with Abstract Concepts' next game they're riding the lasting interest wagon rather than having to keep it going.
ST Action (Aug, 1988)
The game is obviously built to squeeze into the machines at the smaller end of the market and therefore has few of the refinements we would expect in a 512K machine.
I played the Atari ST version, and found most of the pictures dismal but effective. But then whole mood of the game is dismal.
Death comes fairly frequently to Robin, and the toughness of the problems coupled with the lack of help and logic incorporated in the game makes death easier to live with. A good idea with nice packaging, it's sad the game is such a let down.
Power Play (Sep, 1988)
