Graphics and sound are both top-notch - no surprise this, given the game's Gallic origins - adding real charm to the manically addictive underlying gameplay. If only all French software could be this playable!
[Budget re-release] A cheap and very cheerful game which, unlike most 16 bit budget affairs, makes you think instead of blast untold amounts of baddies to kingdom come!
There's nothing similar to it, so the gameplay is still quite fresh and original.
This bastardised descendant of the Pogo game style would not have looked amiss on the Amstrad a few years ago. Nevertheless it's amusing enough to play, the scrolling is smooth and the digitised sound FX are unique. The best part of the game is undoubtedly the ability to design your own levels - great fun and easy to do.

Spidertronic has little new to offer the avid ST gamer either in concept or execution. However, this is a reasonable if not spectacular game and certainly worth a look, especially if you like designing screens.

It is always refreshing to review an arcade game which cannot easily be categorized. By successfully combining originality with arcade entertainment, strategy and perplexing puzzles, Spidertronic is a fine example of this rare occurrence. The graphics and sound presentation is a unique as the game-play and changing the position of the coloured tiles with the screen editor ensures a constant challenge. Quite simply, Spidertronic is an essential addition to your software collection.
