Commodore 64 version
The game was planned for the C64 as well, and the released manual includes loading instructions for this version, but the system is not mentioned in the Credits section, and it is unknown who was working on this, or how far it got.
Toyota's advertising slogan of the time, 'the car in front is a Toyota', was used within the game. Unfortunately for Toyota, it was soured in a British Touring Car Championship race at Silverstone in 1993, in which their 2 cars collided (while running first and second!), causing one to end up on its roof. Veteran commentator Murray Walker was on duty that day, and exclaimed 'the car upside down is a Toyota!'. As Walker spent his main working career in advertising, he was probably fully aware of the trouble he was causing. This commentary line was removed from the official BTCC season review video that year, but was featured on the 1998 video 'Murray's Motorsport Spectacular' and as of 2015 can be found on YouTube.
