Scoring this game is a little tricky. It looks great and as a side scrolling beat-'em-up it is one of the better Double Dragon clones I have played. There is still alot of fun to be had with it even if you are unfamiliar with the whole Sailor Moon concept (as I was). So I think I'll give it 7/10. One for fans of side scrollers and Japanese school girls only.

Sailormoon è un titolo discreto, realizzato benino e sufficientemente divertente. Le dimensioni degli sprite sono veramente notevoli ed anche le animazioni sono abbastanza fluide (ogni tanto è però presente qualche piccolo rallentamento), mentre gli sfondi sono un po' troppo scarni. Le musiche che accompagnano ogni partita sono simpatiche, anche se non raggiungono mai livelli di eccellenza. Anche la giocabilità si attesta su buoni livelli (forse il gioco è leggermente monotono), mentre purtroppo la longevità non è troppo elevata (malgrado la presenza di cinque diversi personaggi). Peccato infine che non sia possibile giocare in due: questa opzione avrebbe infatti reso il gioco indubbiamente più divertente.

In punkto Spielbarkeit weiß das Game schon mehr zu überzeugen. Die Kämpferinnen lassen sich recht präzise dirigieren, und auch deren Moves gehen leicht von der Hand. Dank des fairen Schwierigkeitsgrades haben auch Prügelspiel-Einsteiger eine Chance. Sailor Moon ist zwar alles andere als ein Meisterwerk, Fans der Nippon-TV-Serie werden jedoch ihre Freude an dem geradlinigen Beat 'em Up haben.

The problem with Sailor Moon is there's only two buttons for combat, but it gets worse. The methods of attack are limited and the baddies never learn your attack patterns. Any beat-'em-up which lets you stand at the edge of the screen and wait for enemies to walk into your fist has to be bad. Unrewarding, unimaginative and unwanted.

Ma-Ba, Mamba, oder was? Naja, wie dem auch sei, widmen wir uns lieber dem Spiel als der reichlich unbekannten japanischen Firma: Fangen wir mit den Pluspunkten des Games an, als da wären die recht großen Sprites sowie leichtbekleidete Heldinnen (lechz, schlabber), die schon fast halbe Bildschirmhöhe erreichen. Auch die Level-Grafiken können sich sehen lassen, gewinnen aber im Jahre ‘94 keinen Innovationspreis mehr. Bei der Musik und den Soundeffekten sieht es dagegen nicht mehr ganz so rosig aus, denn diese sind alles andere als gut. Spielerisch hat das Modul auch keine Highlights zu bieten und dümpelt auf niederstem Haudrauf-Nivau dahin, und den eigentlich Genre-typischen Zwei-Spieler-Modus hat Ma-Ba einfach unter den Tisch fallen lassen.

La totale, quoi! Par pitié, même si vous ne ratez aucun episode de Sailormoon, ne vous laissez pas tenter: le jeu est tellement mauvais qu'il dégoûterait même du dessin animé. Si on vous l'offre, portez plainte.

Sailor Moon è un gioco pessimo, molto probabilmente indirizzato solo ad un pubblico di soli infanti dalla dubbia intelligenza. Dategli un’occhiata solo se siete dei fan accaniti o più semplicemente dei nostalgici come il sottoscritto.

This is a dire Final Fight clone in the worst tradition. Everything moves unbelievably slowly, there's only two moves (punch and jump) and all the enemies are the same. There's no action to speak of, and nothing whatsoever to sustain your interest.
