A platform game with a couple of twists, the Convergence puts the player in control of two avatars, a man and a woman, simultaneously. One moves along the floor and the other is moved with equal and opposite movements on the ceiling. Gravity can be reversed, allowing them to trade places or avoid environmental hazards such as spikes by taking refuge on floating platforms. Each level has a goal of uniting the avatars at the appropriate sides of a goal station of sorts, one side patterned for the male and one for the female. The developer describes the gameplay as allegorical to maintaining a relationship, "about timing, about avoiding obstacles, and about reaching a single goal, together."
