The End of Us is a game created for the 2011 Global Game Jam in San Francisco with the theme "extinction". The player controls a comet travelling through space when it is suddenly joined by an orange comet controlled by the computer. According to the authors it was designed to evoke friendship, attachment, and affinity without overt narrative. The gameplay consists of different scenes where the comets can interact with each other: following the other one, bumping it out of the way, attempting to steal the other one's stars. Eventually it leads to a conclusion with a timer that counts down as only one can survive. There are no direct goals in the game and the interaction merely serves as a way to express the theme.
