The game was started in 2007 as an initiative in the Netherlands to promote the activities of the Dutch Red Cross division in Gooistreek to celebrate its 100 years of operations. Pieter Schut
of Tadorna Media
provided the original concept and it was then fully realised by I Sioux Game Productions
in six months. At first, the game was promoted nationally through a humanitarian action of the radio station 3FM to support the Red Cross.
