Description

Bucky O'Hare is a 2D beat 'em up game (with shooter elements), based on the cartoon television series "Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars". The game was released in the same year as the platformer for the NES with the same title. A player can choose one of four characters - Bucky O'Hare, Jenny the "Aldebaran cat"; Dead-Eye Duck; and robot Blinky. A fifth character, Willy, a kid from earth, appears in cut-scenes. Following the basic beat'em up formula, characters use their fists in close combat, but they also have guns with unlimited ammo to shoot enemies. There are 10 stages, some in shoot'em up style. Each stage has it's own boss, the robot "Komplex-2-Go" being the main one.

Shooty O'Hare

The Good
Graphics, and audio are top notch. Especially the voice acting, which was a surprise.

The Bad
I would argue that this game Is not a beat 'em up. It was a gun only game.

The Bottom Line
I highly polished game that should still be experienced despite the false advertising. #NOTABEATEMUP
