Zzap! (Nov, 1987)
The unusual gameplay, neat graphics and brilliant sound effects make Anarchy interesting and entertaining to play. A welcome release from Hewson's newcomer label.
ACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment) (Nov, 1987)
Very absorbing and instantly gripping. Instant addiction - but a month should see it finished.

I enjoyed Anarchy. It is simple yet tricky and challenging. Maybe not destined to be a classic but great value all the same.

[Retest] One of this year's few real budget crackers, this intriguing little tank-em-up hides its light under a bushel. The game format looks like simplicity itself - drive your tank round a series of mazes, destroying the weapons cannisters stored there and dodging enemy droids - but restrictions on firing often force you to tackle screens in one particular order. It's a subtly enjoyable game verging on the abstract, which manages to be both satisfying and largely non-violent.
Computer and Video Games (CVG) (Nov, 1987)
Anarchy is a well put together game - which would outlast the regular budget offerings in the playability stakes.
Tilt (Feb, 1988)
En dépit d'une réalisation peu soignée, ce jeu offre un bon mélange d'action et de stratégie et il vous faut découvrir le seule itinéraire qui vous permet de terminer chaque niveau.
