Jack the Nipper... II in Coconut Capers

aka: Jack the Nipper 2
Moby ID: 15206

Commodore 64 version

Tough platform game.

The Good
The sinister atmosphere, the atmospheric music, the nice-looking graphics and the huge number of screens to explore. There are also a lot of well-drawn and interesting enemies to fight or avoid.

The Bad
It's very hard indeed. Some of the enemies are just too difficult, and when you've been mauled or trampled on once too often your only reward is a decidedly pompous 'game over' message.

The Bottom Line
Jack the Nipper is a mischievous baby (or toddler?) who is lost in darkest Africa. He must find his way through many screens of jungle, making use of the varied weapons and objects he finds along the way. The jungle is filled with dangerous people and animals - everything from tribesmen and explorers to bears, lions, dangerous birds and what looks like a monoclonius. Jack can climb and swing on ropes, can also use his nappy as a parachute. Ultimately he must escape the uncharted lands, being as naughty as possible along the way of course.
