There are billions of subtleties in Laser Squad. All I can say is that Laser Squad is one of the best games ever to appear.

Laser Squad is really another exceptional purchase for the Commodore Amiga gamer. A version is also available for the Atari ST computer. We highly recommend you include this exciting strategy squad-level battle game in your software library.

An absorbing and very fresh approach to man-to-man combat in the future, and a lot better than Breach.

Laser Squad is one of those benchmark titles that defined a generation and a genre, yet seems to have been retired from public memory before it's time. Much of what makes modern games great is owed to Gollop and his staggering vision of turn based tactical gameplay.

Laser Squad clearly has a place in the lineage of the X-COM series, but it would have been a lot more playable with a better interface and a decent manual.
