The object of Paperboy is to deliver papers to your customers while inflicting as much damage as possible to the houses of your non-customers. To make things more difficult, numerous obstacles get in your way including construction workers, rogue tires, skateboarders, dogs and cats, cars, and even the occasional tornado.

1001 Video Games

The Arcade version of Paperboy appears in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die by General Editor Tony Mott.

The cover for the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of the game is actually taken from the earlier Nintendo 64 game in the series, but with some things removed.

Elite's home computer versions sold more copies when re-released on the Encore budget label than they did when released at full price.
