Good blasting fun from the outset. It's tough but it'll keep you hooked - not bog you off. An atmospheric interpretation of a great theme.

Robocop is difficult, but fortunately once you have loaded a section you are allowed to start any further games from that point. There is a good variety in the scenes that will lengthen the game's life, and the abundance of violence in the name of the law will go down very well with expectant fans of the film. Highly recommended.

Robocop is a very good game, Sadly, believe it or not, it doesn't rank anywhere near the Spectrum 128 version, which has much better graphics and sound, and even a bit where you hear Robo read out his prime directives. There's no reason why they couldn't have done that on the 64.

With only a solitary life to play with and continuous criminal attacks, RoboCop is one vicious game. Although in places a little gaudy in its use of colour, RoboCop is excellent, sporting a metallic-look befitting the film. Negatively, the 3-D shooting sequences are a let-down, after the high-tech cross hair style of the Spectrum game, and sound effects and in-game tunes are weak.

Power Play (Mar, 1989)

Overall there is no reason to play RoboCop. This is a great movie license gone to waste.
