Zzap! (Oct, 1985)
If you like games with an unusual feel or plenty of possible exploration or a host of other things, then you could choose a lot worse than Rocket Roger.
Commodore User (Jan, 1985)
In a nut shell, Rocket Roger is an imaginative, obstacle strewn quest for treasure with a complement of intergalactic intruders likely to provide hours of engrossing entertainment. But only after you have perfect the delicacy of touch to exploit the rocket-pack fully. I'd be content to explore the whole play area, let alone "win". Rocket Roger is further proof that there is plenty of programming talent left at Sheffield-based Alligata, despite the departure of one Tony Crowther Superstar.
Personal Computer Games (Jan, 1985)
Not particularly original, as it is a lot like Son of Blagger. The graphics are slick and professional but there isn't much sound. Plenty to keep your interest for a long while.
