Commodore Format (Mar, 1991)
Welltris is thoroughly compulsive. [...] It's a no-frills mathematical puzzle and you have to take it or leave it as it is. Raw challenge, well done, still isn't everybody's cup of tea.

64'er (Jun, 1991)
Die Grafik des eigentlichen Spiels ist wie beim Vorgänger einfach und schlicht, aber die Seiten- und Menügrafiken warten mit schön gezeichneten Bildern auf. Die Intromusik ist typisch russisch, und während des Spiels gibt es passende Sounds. Spielerisch bietet das Programm alles, was das Herz begehrt und macht ebenso süchtig wie das Erstlingswerk.

Sieht man von den hardwarebedingten Abstrichen an Grafik und Sound ab, ist Welltris auf dem C 64 ein nettes Grübelspiel für Zwischendurch. Block Out macht langfristig allerdings mehr Spaß.
