Charlie Foxtrot & The Galaxy of Tomorrow
Description
Charlie Foxtrot and the Galaxy of Tomorrow is a freeware AGS adventure set in space, following the legacy of the Space Quest series with a humorous undercurrent and parodies of well-known TV series, movies and technology in general. It tells the story of Charlie Foxtrot, a clone who eventually gains self-awareness and joins the intergalactic rebellion while pursued by the agent of the Empire of Conformity. It is a full-length adventure taking place on different planets. Charlie has to gather intelligence and then return to the mother station to deal with the emperor.
The game uses a classic control system. Different actions are cycled through with the right mouse button or selected from a menu near the top of the screen. There are different conversation options, an inventory and the game also includes a Quest for Death 2 arcade mini-game. It is possible to die, with death screens inspired by Space Quest. Puzzles are largely inventory-based and the game also features a classic maze. Charlie navigates between the different planets using a Y2K Ladybug. He needs to gather coordinates to gain access to the different planets.
