The Council: Episode 3 - Ripples

Louis de Richet came to Lord Mortimer's island in search of his mother. There he found many very prominent guests that came here to discuss events that will reshape the world. After a brutal murder of Elizabeth Adams, he met the host, Lord Mortimer, who pointed him to investigate the cause of death and find the culprit. Furthermore, Louis followed his mother's clues and managed to find her inside a secret entrance to the catacombs hidden beneath the maze garden.

Continuing after the events shaped by player's choices in the previous two episodes, Louis now finds himself at a gunpoint by none other than his mother, Sarah de Richet. For some reason, she does not believe that the person in front of her very own eyes is Louis, her son. The game starts with a dialogue confrontation where Louis has to convince her it's really him. The council is finally taking place and Lord Mortimer confides his next plan for reshaping the world. But Sir Gregory Holm, Mortimer's brother does not share the same vision and votes are split in favor of Sir Gregory. Taking a pause for a day, Mortimer tasks Louis to try and sway some of the votes in his favor. That is, unless Louis himself decided to vote against Lord Mortimer's plan instead.

After searching the mansion and looking for leverages, Louis runs into Emily and Emma, twin sisters, pointing gun at each other, with his mother Sarah lying on the floor. The plot tickens both Louis and Emily realise that Emma was posing for the Duchess in some of the previous encounters. It's up to Louis to try and resolve this peacefully and figure out who is the real Emma. By the end of episode 3, Louis is tasked by his mother to gather necessary objects to decipher and open the iris barring the passage toward the inner sanctum. But pulling the lever with the wrong setup can cause Louis to lose his hand the same way his mother lost hers, which will be reflected in the remaining two episodes.
