DescriptionPlatform Medley Block #1 is a 2D game starring Mari Stormbringer. She works as a cashier in the L.E.S.S. supermarket which is about to go bankrupt because there are hardly any customers. Mari is terribly bored at work and due to a series of events involving n&n's candy and alkaline batteries her brain gets affected by radioactivity and she ends up in an alternate 2D dimension with brick-like pixels. The player has to help bring her back to the real world.
The game has a bright and colour world. It consists of several single-screen rooms connected both horizontally and vertically using the flip-screen mechanic with an amount of freedom to explore. Mari has fifteen lives and she needs to complete platforming sections, dodge a wide variety of enemies and avoid hazards such as spikes. When she comes in contact with an enemy or a hazard a life is lost. She has no means to attack.

SequelWhen the game was launched on 14th October 2009 the developers announced that a keycode is shown upon completing the game. They stated that a sequel was forthcoming, but would not be released until someone finished game and provided proof through the keycode. They very same day user Visper completed the game and provided the code as proof. The developers acknowledged this in a news post on 15th October and in another one on the same day they provided some screenshots of the sequel as work-in-progress. Since then no other news was sent out and it is not clear if the sequel Platform Medley Block #2 was eventually ever released.
TitleAccording to the developer Platform Medley Block #1 was the game's working title. The week before the release they came up with a plot and chose a new title for it, but they realised the game was already full with logos and frames using the working title and they did not feel like redoing all of that, so the working title stuck. The actual title was supposed to be A trip to the trippy supermarket, starring Mary Stormbringer.
