Creatures: Village is a difficult game to recommend. If you are looking for a simple game to spend a few hours, you might want to consider giving Creatures: Village a shot. If you are looking for a solid engaging simulation game, there are better titles out there.

But I have to say, even with the numerous areas to explore, the activities scattered around, and the thought of raising a happy Norn family, Creatures: Village had a hard time keeping my interest. There just isn't a lot of depth to be had in this game. While Kutoka claims that the Creatures Digital DNA makes each Norn unique, I found that there was very little difference from one generation of Norns to the next. The activities, while interesting at first, do not change much each time you play them, giving little reason to come back to them again. It doesn't take long to explore and try everything in the different locations of the game, giving even less reason to come back to it. This game might be good for an occasional diversion for older gamers, and might be interesting for a time for the younger set, but I'm not sure it will stick around for long. As a simple pet simulation, Creatures: Village does a passable job, but for a deeper gameplay experience, gamers should look elsewhere.
