Cryptex of Time

Cryptex of Time is a 3D tile-matching game. The player has to rotate a cylinder made of wheels or cogs. The left mouse button rotates individual wheels, while the right button makes the whole thing revolve in its axis. There is a tile at the end of each of cog tooth, and the objective is to rotate them making matches of three or more of the same type. Wheels accumulate with time, dropping at the top of the cylinder. As they are cleared, they are removed from the game. If the cylinder gets too tall with too many cogs, the game is over.

Some levels have special rules and tiles. The orbs have special powers that are activated when a match happens besides them. The blue orb removes a whole line of tiles. The yellow orb explodes destroying lots of tiles. Iron pieces can't be matched, but the orbs remove them.

In most of the levels, the goal is to fill a meter at the left side of the screen by making matches. In some levels, the objective is to remove cogs from the cylinder. Other stages are more like puzzles, where the player has a limited amount of moves to clear the tiles.

A game of logic appears between stages, where the player has to guess the right sequence of tiles within a time limit.
