Before the game starts the player must register their name. It's here that the type of maths problem can be selected

The game begins. Derik is in the top left corner. He is moved around the maze via the arrow keys. Travelling right and then down the first thing he will encounter is a haystack.

Derik has found the haystack. This scores bonus points. Here's the puzzle.

When the correct answer is selected there's a small animationshowing Derik eating the haystack and a 'Well Done' message

Derek has found a cao. This time Rex poses a different kind of puzzle

This is how the game tells the player that they got their sum wrong.

A dinosaur riding a cow. Not an everyday sight. This is from the short animation that's displayed when a cow is freed.
