Dogs of War
- Dogs of War (1989 on Amiga, Atari ST)
- Dogs of War (2000 on Windows)
Description
Dogs of War is an unofficial electronic adaptation of the Axis & Allies tabletop game. It was initially released as shareware in 1997, but the developers were forced to abandon it after threats of legal action by Milton Bradley, the copyright holders of the original strategy board game.
As in the original, the game is a World War II strategy title were players take turns moving troops over a map, managing resources and attacking each other. Five players have to be selected at the start, each controlling every major nation involved in the conflict. They can be configured as human opponents, computer-controlled players, or network competitors, and the alliances of each nation can be set to either the axis or the allies.
