Mr 'shaken but not stirred' is out to find the man who turned his ex-CIA chum Felix into shark food. On the PC two disks are provided, one CGA the other EGA. In EGA mode the game's very colourful, and sound - for the PC - is rather good, especially the 'alternative' (as it has been dubbed) Bond theme tune on the title page. It's a pity that it falters when the computer flicks between the high score table and title screen.
Licence To Kill is just the sort of game the PC is starved of - honest to goodness arcade fun. EGA and CGA versions are offered - and pretty good they look too.
If the player is not a devoted arcade addict, he will probably find that Licence to Kill can be a "license to bore". There is no puzzle-solving, thrill of discovery and exploration, or, with the exception of hoarding bullets in scene two, resource management. Instead, it is a very difficult arcade challenge. Licence to Kill is often reasonably entertaining, but strictly for the arcade-oriented player.
