Kingdom of Kroz II

Moby ID: 729

DOS version

The most fun you can have with ASCII characters.

The Good
As an update to the original Kroz series, KOKII was a bit harder and more addictive than the original. It was about the most colorful game you could play on an IBM with GCA graphics. It was simple but addictive.

The Bad
At the time it came out everything was good about it. Now the only complaint I could think of is that even on a 386 you have to run a slowdown utility to get it to work.

The Bottom Line
All the characters are ASCII based so they are very simple. You use your arrow keys to move your smiley face from one part of the screen to wherever the exit is. You must avoid the hoards of enemies coming after you. You do have a weapon of sorts with a whip that clears out a circle of enemies around you. But mainly it's a puzzle to figure out the way to get to the exit.
