Description
You play as a pyromaniac with a special system of burning down buildings: the night before you strike at a location, you hide gas cans all around the building. Then, the next day after all the people have left the building, you go to the top floor with a ball of cotton. You light it up and carefully go down the building floor by floor, picking up gas cans, pouring their contents all over the place, sometimes just running the fuse over them and letting them explode. This is depicted in ASCII graphics and using speaker sound.Screenshots

I know it's a silly little, game but it's one of my favorites of all time. | Andrew Grasmeder (228) | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Trivia
Remake
While never credited as such in the manual or game description, Pyro II is however intentionally a remake of Firebug. For example, compare a Firebug gameplay screenshot with a Pyro II gameplay screenshot.Graphics
The game runs in text mode, but has several options for enhancing the display when running on better-than-CGA cards. For example, alternate font characters are used; an 8-x16 character cell is used so that shaded characters look normal next to each other; the screen fades in and out, etc.Related Web Sites
