This shows the predefined flights before the scenery package is installed.
These are the predefined flights after the scenery package is installed. The scenery is intended for Flight Sim 5.0 but is shown here being used in Flight Sim 98
A screen shot from the DC Wake-up flight which flies over the White House
The DC-Lear runway approach has the pilot flying up the Potomac river, over the Woodrow Wilson bridge to land at National Airport. The red boxes are the pilots guide
The DC-Mall area flight has the pilot flying over the Capitol building towards the Potomac. This is the cockpit view
DC Mall area flight goes over the Capitol building
The final predefined flight is a night flight over Washington though it looks a lot more like dusk than night in this cockpit approach view
The final predefined flight is a night flight over Washington. This is how the same flight looks using the default scenery
This is Washington from a great height. It's easy to tell where the new scenery starts
Here's Washington at midnight using the enhanced scenery
Washington at midnight with default scenery
Here's a Cessna on the tarmac at Washington International airport using the default scenery as viewed from the tower
Here's a Learjet on the tarmac at Washington International airport using the enhanced scenery as viewed from the tower
Just after take-off at Washington International airport. This is using the default scenery. Not how the airport ends suddenly and edges of the urban sprawl are sharply defined
Just after take-off at Washington International airport using the new scenery. The colours are much less vibrant and more realistic.
Still climbing after take-off at Washington and already the limits of the new scenery are apparent. By current (2012) standards the area covered is not that large
Reaching the edge of the area covered by the new scenery. The path of the river matches that of the default scenery which is good, it's just about ten times narrower
The Cessna taking off from Baltimore-Washington International airport using the default scenery. Again the boundaries between the various scenery types is quite marked
A Learjet on the tarmac at Baltimore-Washington International using the new scenery
Shortly after take-off from Baltimore and the new scenery looks quite blocky
It's when the plane gains height that Baltimore starts to look a whole load better
The plane is not too far from the airfield and the limited area covered by this scenery add-on is apparent. Great in its day though
