Edmund
Description
Edmund is a short game created for the TIGSource Adult/Edutainment competition, which it eventually won, and it focuses on the adult aspect of the challenge. It is a short platformer where the player controls the characters Eddie (Edmund) and Michael, but one at a time. It consists of two main sequences or levels. The first details Eddie's past as a war veteran in Vietnam and the atrocities that went along with it. The second part is set in a modern city and is influenced by the first part.
The title sports a desaturated, gritty graphical style, explicit violence and sexual abuse (rape), slightly reminiscent of the confrontational scenes in the French film Irreversible. At certain points in the game, players need to take a moral decision that leads to different endings. Controls consist of basic options to move around, a button to shoot, and another for a few other actions.
