DescriptionFIFA Manager 08 allows the player to take control of a football team. The player has almost the complete club in his control, including the ability to design and build a stadium for the team, invest money into facilities or set the price of tickets. The player can choose his level of commitment in the club, and for instance decide only to manage the first team.
The game builds on the previous version, keeping a similar user interface. The player can pick between a 3D engine or a text-based commentary to view matches. As its predecessors, it offers real player names (although the names of international competitions are fictional). Bright Future attempted to make the transfers more realistic than in the previous versions, with more in-depth negotiations with other clubs. The scouting system has also been improved, and now the player can learn how to sail, with the hope that one day his sailing skills might allow him to convince his president to increase his budget by taking him on a trip.
