Wii UNintendo Life (Jan 04, 2016)
The gameplay is simple, but the included titles are fun to play. High-score chasing should keep players occupied, especially with twenty games to chose from - eleven of which also include an updated "Modern" mode. It can feel repetitive at times and the method of unlocking games has the potential to annoy, but in the end the volume of titles makes Game Boy Gallery Advance an excellent compilation of Nintendo's first foray into portable gaming.

Med enorm varaktighet, ett stort utbud av spel, perfekt återskapade originalversioner och charmiga nyversioner är spelet ett spel jag med gott samvete kan rekommendera till vem som helst som någon gång blivit "fast" i ett minispel.
Game Boy AdvanceAll Game Guide (2002)
The first Game & Watch title released for the Game Boy Advance, Game & Watch Gallery 4 offers six games for the price of one. Actually, with the modern remakes of the classic games as well as the unlockable titles, the package contains a whopping 31 games. Each game is short on substance but long on fun, and the primary objective in each contest is simply to score as many points as possible. The Game & Watch series is derived from the plethora of handheld titles Nintendo released during the 1980s.
Game Boy AdvanceNintendoWorldReport (Nov 16, 2002)
In conclusion, this game is a must-have for anyone who isn’t familar with G&W. For those who are, the experience will be considerably more limited. The modern modes with updated graphics and sounds are very good, but, ultimately, they are not what’s carrying this game. What’s carrying this game is that you get 20 slices of pure, classic Nintendo gameplay.

If you have time to kill, or want to reminisce about the good ol' days, this will be a great game to add to your collection. While it won't probably click as fast as Wario Ware, Mr. Game and Watch Gallery 4 is another great lesson in what a good video game should (and shouldn't) be.
Game Boy AdvanceGameSpot (Nov 22, 2002)
Not that the graphics and sound matter much for a product like this. Nintendo has packaged a grand total of 31 games together into a collection that exists more for posterity than glamour. If you're looking at Game & Watch Gallery 4, chances are you know what you're getting into and don't care that the graphics and sound are modest and dated. The games are certainly strong enough to stand on their gameplay alone.

I'm scoring Game & Watch Gallery 4 in the "good" category mainly because this is a package jammed near bursting with a lot of stuff to unlock and play. You definitely get your money's worth, just as long as you know exactly what you're getting into. Old-school gamers will probably adore just how accurate the classic Game & Watch games look on the GBA system. The original series of games aren't deep by any stretch of the imagination, nor can the remakes really stand the test of time with the standard Game Boy Advance games. But just as long as you're not looking for anything deep or engrossing, Game & Watch Gallery 4 offers a huge array of simplistic games to discover.

Das ist für eine kurze Zeit zwar ganz spaßig, aber an den sechs Spielchen hat man sich dann doch recht schnell satt gespielt.

The fundamentals for these games were not bad during their time. They aren't bad even now, although their scope might be a little short. I take the word gallery in the fourth edition of Game and Watch Gallery quite literally. This is a gallery of sound, fundamental gaming concepts. Now, if only someone would come along and fuse all of them into one cohesive title.
Game Boy AdvanceGameSpy (Dec 01, 2002)
It's really hard to recommend Game & Watch Gallery 4 to GBA owners when games like Metroid Fusion and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 are out there. If some of the modernizations were a little deeper, or some of the unlockables a little more complex, or at least one of the games stood out head-and-shoulders above the rest as really fun, it'd be easy to recommend. But as it stands, I cannot.

You get two versions of six old LCD Game & Watch titles on one cart – the original and an update with okay graphics. However, I really couldn’t care less. These games might have been fun portables 20 years ago, but now they're too simple and boring. Only collectors and old-school gamers will find this interesting, but I'd imagine there's more value and nostalgia in owning the original Game & Watch units.
