Game & Watch Panorama Screen: Donkey Kong Circus

Game & Watch Panorama Screen: Donkey Kong Circus is the sixth and final game in the sixth series of Game & Watch games published by Nintendo, also known as the Panorama Screen Series. With it's tilt-able screen, this series managed to offer the same experience as the Table Top Series, but on a much more portable format and for a more affordable price. Of the six titles in the series, three were re-editions of previous Table Top Games. Unpublished in Japan.

Donkey Kong Circus isn't one of the re-editions of the Table Top Versions which were released before, despite Donkey Kong's appearance in some of the other G&W series games. Donkey Kong Circus can be seen as an enhanced version of Chef. The player control Donkey Kong balancing on a barrel in a warehouse, juggling pineapples. One has to move sideways to catch the fruit, whilst covering the whole width of the screen. One has to make sure not to touch the fireballs, that are falling alongside the pineapples. Mario, which is standing on the side, isn't helping Donkey Kong, but merely mocking him if he manages to catch a fireball instead and burning his hands.

The product code of this game MK-96 and the fifth game in this series Mickey Mouse, codenamed DC-95, seemed to have their code names switched, since MK (= Mickey Mouse) and DC (= Donkey Kong Circus), but this isn't the case.
