In this side-scrolling action game from TDK Mediactive, you'll run, jump, crawl, climb, and slash your way through 23 lush levels full of monsters, demons, and assorted perils. Thanks to its solid control, clever puzzles, and stellar production values, Lady Sia is easily worth a trip to the local game shop.

Overall, Lady Sia is more than a worthwhile experience on the GBA. It offers breadth, scope, and a quality graphical presentation and level design. The game offers plenty of challenges, tempting the more avid gamer into raising their ratings even after completing the fields to fulfill their quests. So get your best battle cry ready and head on out as the feistiest warrior princess to hit the handheld world.

Côté visuel, c’est une réussite. Certains personnages sont énormes et les décors sont sublimes. Ils se paient même le luxe de se déformer au gré de la partie (tour qui s’écroule, etc.). La jouabilité est complexe, tous les boutons sont utilisés. Heureusement, le premier niveau fait office de Tutorial. Parfois les collisions entre les différents protagonistes sont un peu surprenantes, mais rien qui ne gâche le plaisir. La durée de vie est plutôt bonne, les stages deviennent vite ardus et sont fort nombreux (plus de trente !). Foncez !

It's not bursting with originality, but what it does it does so well you can't help but fall for the mixture of intense and often brutal swordplay and the simple but enjoyable puzzling. The fantastic enemy characters, incredible boss fights and stunning graphical style seal the deal. We love her, you'll love her - let's spread the joy and share her around.

Many unfair aspects of the gameplay hinder the enjoyment of completing Lady Sia. While I already mentioned that the collision detection and false ledges remain a bit of a problem, the health system haunts the game, and the tendency to fall off edges makes matters even worse. During a sword combo, Sia will thrust forward, and if this is anywhere near a cliff, chances are she’s doomed before you know what happened. As far as the health system works, when a player dies and restarts from a checkpoint within the level, instead of replenishing any lost health, the heart will only be filled to the amount that remained when the checkpoint area was first crossed.

Button-mashing contests have even been added to break things up. This cart may not be your first choice for a GBA title, but it's a good time. Someone may even remember it as one of the first platformers they got into.

Lady Sia constitue une très bonne surprise et conviendra à tous les joueurs du fait de son aspect multigenres. Son gameplay varié, son humour et sa réalisation soignée en font un titre sympathique qui réserve de nombreuses heures de jeu.

Lady Sia is a perfectly good game. Between its graphics and numerous hours of gameplay, it seems like a worthwhile purchase. Unfortunately for its publishers, there are a few great platform games out for the GBA. Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Rayman Advance, and Klonoa: Empire of Dreams are superior games that offer a more complete package. Lady Sia really only has two things that can differentiate itself with: its length and starring character. So if you're looking for a long GBA game or want to kick some ass as a female character, then go for this game. If you're looking for a great 2D platformer, there are three superior games on the market that will serve you better.

Despite its faults, it’s a pretty polished example of the platforming genre. It’s doubtful that it would work on a high-spec PC, and it’s definitely not home console material. But for a handheld system like the GBA, it’s the perfect thing to get to kill a bit of time. It can be frustrating, infuriating and repetitive, and the music really isn’t great either – but it’s a short game, so it’s not too difficult to complete once you’ve mastered it. The animé-style cut scenes are suitably in line with the plot, and the graphics are also some of the best I’ve seen in a GBA game.

Dieses mysteriöse Jump´n´Run ist zwar nicht schlecht, aber kein wirklicher Hit. Am süßesten ist die Heldin namens Sia, mit welcher es gilt, sich durch mittelalterliche Welten zu kämpfen. Hierfür stehen ihr zu Anfang Schwert und ein kleiner Zauber zur Verfügung. Die Grafik ist zwar detailreich aber dennoch recht pixelig. Das Handling ist akzeptabel.

Lady Sia’s colorful fantasy world with many strong level concepts could have lead to it being a good Game Boy Advance platformer, but a few fundamental aspects end up tarnishing the experience. The checkpointing system is rough, slippery movement harms the platforming, and the occasional boss fight ends up too easy or basic to enjoy, but the creative stage designs and the fights where the Sasquatch form are utilized still give the game enough punch to overcome some of its flaws. Lady Sia ends up a little shaky because its levels are experienced through mechanics that can sometimes come up short, but a little persistence will allow a potential player to have a decent time with what was nearly a nice little action game.
