Silent Scope, s'il pêche par une durée de vie trop faible, n'en demeure pas moins un jeu très prenant et fort original pour une portable. La maniabilité est aisée, les missions intéressantes et pour peu que vous adhériez au concept, vous devriez vous amuser un petit bout de temps, bien trop petit malheureusement...

Silent Scope for the Game Boy Advance does a good job of bringing the experience of the arcade game home, or wherever. It's still pretty shallow, but the addition of more stages and extra modes really improves the game's overall longevity. In the end, you'll probably be surprised by how well Silent Scope works on a handheld system.

Silent Scope on the Game Boy Advance honestly isn't much more than playing any other target-shooting game without a handheld light gun. Games like Virtua Cop and Lethal Enforcers have been brought home several times before, both with and without light gun support, and the result is usually a dull and simple point-and-click challenge that makes you wish you actually made that light gun investment.
While the theme is not for everyone, Silent Scope can still be a strangely addictive title thanks to the simple but highly playable training modes and shooting galleries. The main game, which is based on the coin-op title, is short and at times too frustrating to be worth the effort, especially when players have to defeat quick-moving boss characters within a short window of time. Players who like to challenge themselves by trying to hit moving bull's-eyes and pop-up targets in areas such as farmhouses, caves, and on rivers will get more out of this title than those expecting a deep storyline. It's a shame the control never rises above functional, which undermines what could have been a solid hit on the system. In this regard, Silent Scope misses the mark.
