Tom and Jerry is very easy to pick up and play. Figuring out which buttons do what is easy to do and can be figured out without looking at the instructions. While the game is easy enough for anyone to enjoy, fans will probably have the most fun. Being a long time fan of the show, it was great to see cameos by even the most obscure Tom and Jerry characters such as Uncle Pecos, the robot cat, and even Droopy. Of course, they forgot to put in that big Aunt Jemima looking lady who owned Tom - but I can overlook it.

This game is certainly not the best ever made, but it is delightful, and gives old friends another opportunity to shine.
Wegen der stupiden Aufgaben und dem unsinnigen Durch-die-Gegend-Prügeln erweist sich Der magische Ring als solides Actionspiel ohne viel Tiefe. Für 50 € kann man aber ein wenig mehr erwarten.

Aside from all this, the game’s not bad. It’s colorful, moves fast, the characters are fun to watch, and there are no major camera or screen problems. If there were more mid-level variation in enemies, a little more thought were put into the order in which you encounter things, and a lot more effort put into how your character fights, this game could have been a real sleeper hit. As it stands now, it feels like a very talented group of developers got rushed, and had to throw all their characters and animations into a box to meet a deadline. It’s still worth picking up for your eight-year-old’s birthday, but it’s a shame when you realize how close this game came to being something more.
Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring contains little of the slapstick action of the cartoons appreciate, and the gameplay is so repetitively tepid that there's nothing about the game that makes it worth recommending. Just about any of Tom and Jerry's other games would be a better choice for fans of the duo.

Tom et Jerry : l’anneau magique ne fera pas long feu dans l’histoire des jeux vidéo. Les trop nombreux défauts qu’il présente en font un soft bâclé à oublier rapidement. A éviter.
