Here's an off-the-wall demolition game that you design yourself!

    Original Release Date: October 1985

In the days before Mario™ and Luigi™ became sports stars in their downtime from saving the Princess, they tried their hands as one-man wrecking crews. With a hammer as their only tool, players take control of the brothers and set out to destroy ladders, rip out pipes, knock out walls, and detonate explosive devices. But make sure to plan your path of destruction carefully, as each building is designed as its own clever puzzle—if you’re not careful, you can easily trap yourself in a dead end! Adding to the excitement and challenge are fireballs, enemies, and an angry foreman roaming the buildings, all trying to stop you from moving on to the next stage. With 100 buildings to demolish and the ability to construct your own, it’s a wonder Mario and Luigi ever got back to saving the Mushroom Kingdom!

This game is only playable in 2D.

The Official Nintendo Player's Guide (1987):

    A BUILDING BLAST

Mario and Luigi are in the wrecking business and they're having a ball. This amazing programmable game even lets them design their own building before they knock it to smithereens. To add to the excitement, there are monsters (Gotchawrench and Eggplant Man) running bout, fireballs, and Foreman Spike all trying to stop the wrecking crew.

GAME PLAY: First you, as Mario, decide whether want to demolish a computer building or to design your own building. You can also choose to enlist Luigi to help with the action. The buildings are so tall you have to go from one screen to the next and deal with different kinds of walls, doors, ladders, floors, pillars, and drums. Build your own buildings, and you get to choose how many monsters you want to have running around! Once the building is ready, you use dynamite and your hammer to knock it down and get points for smashing everything into next year. There are many special techniques that can be used to your advantage and for super high points. It's a blast!
