Frogger Beyond has far surpassed the expectations that I initially had for this game. Konami did an excellent job with recreating Frogger and creating a challenging puzzle game for the GameCube. The overall quality of the game surprised me and showed me that I shouldn’t take things for granted! For a cool 30 bucks, I highly recommend this title to someone looking for a quick challenge or anyone looking for a nice retro experience. Check it out!

After its misstep with Frogger: The Great Quest, Konami has brought the franchise back on track with Frogger Beyond. But this move just brings the series back to square one, and it doesn't improve on the groundwork laid down by the Hasbro Interactive Frogger games. If you've already played through those, or Blitz Games' follow-up, Zapper, Frogger Beyond isn't going to wow you. But if you're new to this specific blend of fast action and simple puzzles, Frogger Beyond can offer a quick and fun experience.

"Frogger Beyond" has its strong points, but it falls short of being a great game. Still, it can be recommended to those looking for a slightly different and perhaps pure gaming experience. If you can disregard its rough spots and weather its considerable challenge, "Frogger Beyond" is like a fairly fond walk back in time.
IGN (Jan 06, 2003)
Frogger Beyond is true to its roots, but not exactly a long-lasting game. The thrill runs short after you experience a fair amount of deaths, and this frustration is cause to consider Konami's latest addition to the series a rent-only title.
