Rogue Leader é o mais impressionante dos jogos de lançamento do GameCube. Se você é fã de Star Wars, nem sequer COGITE a possibilidade de não comprar esse jogo. A Força é forte nesse título.

Rouge Squadron II displays many great features which all stand up on their own, these features all come together in complete harmony to provide a mind blowing experience. Rouge Squadron II oozes quality, Factor 5 have done a fantastic job of this game, just about everything is perfect and very highly polished. You may find the game short after finishing it, but you have to earn enough points to unlock all the bonus levels plus, to get those gold medals will take you a long time, you will have to experiment with all the extra ships available for all the levels in order to finish the game in full.

Rogue Leader best represents what the GameCube hardware is capable of. Whether it be the daunting size of a Star Destroyer that houses over 300,000 polygons within its body, or incalculable amounts of fighters crammed onscreen, you can feel the power being pumped through this tiny machine. Even after playing thousands of games in my tenure at Game Informer, I’m completely dumbfounded by the level of detail that went into this project. The texturing on the vehicles – which accurately maps laser reflections and light sourcing – is identical to that in the films. This level of detailing is accurately used on all fronts. When an X-Wing flies by, you can see an animated pilot in the cockpit, and a fully functional R2 unit busily slaving away.

While all of Rogue Leader's components are strong on their own, they display a great amount of polish and end up making RL far more than the sum of its parts. While the game seems a bit short at first, you'll find that earning the various medals, uncovering the power-ups for the various craft, discovering the game's special features, and unlocking the bonus levels will keep you hooked. Thanks to tight graphics and immersive gameplay, Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron easily stands as the most impressive launch title for the GameCube. GameCube owners in search of a showcase for their new system owe it to themselves to pick up a copy.
Wahrscheinlich werden jetzt wieder sämtliche Kritiker und Nörgler aus ihren Löchern gekrochen kommen und uns Überbewertung vorwerfen. Dass wir das Spiel ja nur so toll finden, weil Star Wars draufsteht und weil es von einem deutschen Team programmiert wurde. All diesen Meckerern kann nur gesagt werden: Spielt Rogue Leader und haltet die Klappe, denn dieses Spiel ist die Macht!

Klarer Fall, Rogue Leader zieht seinen größten Reiz aus Grafik und Sound. Beides ist so perfekt inszeniert und aufeinander abgestimmt, dass man sich direkt in den Film hineinversetzt fühlt. Da mag man schon mal gerne über den etwas geringen Spielumfang oder über leichte Slowdowns hinwegsehen. Wer Rogue Leader aber als stumpfe Ballerorgie ohne Sinn und Verstand abfertigt, tut dem Spiel Unrecht. Tatsächlich handelt es sich um einen edlen Action-Knaller der Extraklasse, an dem nicht nur Star Wars-Fans ihre Freude haben werden.

Eikä tarpeeksi voida painottaa sitä, miten hieno kokemus Rogue Leader on. Sen ulkoasu ja äänet on hiottu loppuunsa - pientä päivitysongelmaa lukuun ottamatta - ja mitä isommalla TV:llä ja paremmilla stereoilla peliä pelaa, sitä enemmän siitä saa irti. Samalla se ei kuitenkaan ole mikään kalvakka tekniikkademo, vaan täysimittainen peli joka osoittaa kyynikollekin Star Warsin olevan yksi sukupolvemme suuria satuja - ja GameCuben yksi tämän hetken kovia pelikoneita.

I could buy a GameCube for this game only and would not be disappointed. If I never play another game on the system, I already feel I got my money's worth. That is how good this game is. I found myself in constant amazement, talking to the TV (you know a game is good when you start talking to it) and just basically grinning from ear to ear every time I played. It is very difficult to score the higher level medals but thankfully you can still make it through the game without getting a gold on everything. So, if you have a GameCube and have not bought this game yet, you are missing the entire reason for owning that system.

It's taken more than 20 years, but a development studio has finally captured the spirit and beauty of the Star Wars trilogy movies and crammed it all into one action-packed game. The Factor 5 developed Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader represents the evolution of the LucasArts shooter franchise, which was sparked to life on Nintendo 64 some years ago. The GameCube sequel comes complete with all new levels based on scenes from the trilogy, the ability to pilot classic crafts as Jedi hero Luke Skywalker and more secrets than can easily be counted. And it's quite possibly the most beautiful title we've seen on any home console. Rejoice.

Graphics are some of the best found on the GameCube – and this was a launch title! In terms of sound, it is extremely satisfying hearing the Star Wars music sprinkled throughout, and shooting blasters and blowing up tie fighters never sounded so good! Overall, this is an amazing game that captures the magic of Star Wars, the fun of awesome arcade shooters, and the lasting appeal of a timeless classic.

Some games don't need a license to be good. Rogue Leader is good because it lives up to its billing. You can argue with me about that until we're both blue in the face, but the only deciding factor here is whether or not you like space combat games. Do you? Because everybody loves Star Wars, right? And this is that. Buy it. Buy a Cube for it.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader is a technical marvel, serving up the perfect melange of gameplay, visuals and authentic Star Wars goodness. Factor 5 has stunningly recreated the franchise's deep universe to a degree rarely seen in licensed video games. Disappointingly, it's a very brief experience, but one that you should enjoy nevertheless. This is without a shadow of a doubt one of the GameCube's finest games.

Rogue Squadron 2 fait fort. Il affiche des graphismes parfois plus beaux que le film lui-même. L'ambiance est parfaite et les musiques/bruitages à couper le souffle. Mais le jeu ressemble bien trop à l'opus sur N64 et affiche un niveau de difficulté trop élevé.

Un titre incontournable pour les fans de l'univers Star Wars et les possesseurs de Gamecube. Rogue Leader exploite la juteuse licence de manière admirable et comme on aimerait le voir plus souvent. Sa réalisation et son gameplay font de ce soft un véritable must en matière de shoot tout en illustrant de manière magistrale les performances de la nouvelle console Nintendo.
Leader's graphics are equally up to the task of portraying these epic battles. I just about lost it when I noticed that TIEs would not only self-shadow, but also contain reflections cast from your glancing laser fire and those two red taillights that they have in back. Now, "cut the chatter Red Two" and go buy it.

With a game this gorgeous, it is no wonder people will be interested for a long time. Heck, if Lucas wanted to he could have made the game on graphics alone and people would still play. But, the did better and put careful thought into the whole game. This is truly one of the bets launch titles I have ever seen, and it is highly recommended. Star Wars lovers will get what they want, while the casual gamer will find something truly special, a game that wants to be good for you!

Holistically speaking, Rogue Leader raises the bar again for the Star Wars franchise. I think for the foreseeable future, other developers and licensees will try to beat the immersion this title exudes. The developers, Factor 5, have shown themselves to be a master of the cinematic experience inside the trilogy framework and it would be exciting to see what they can come up with if they were provided with some of the prequel material. Simply reliving some of the exciting sequences, like the Death Star trench run, on modern equipment is an experience that is worth the price of admission itself. For those who are shying away because they've seen or played Hoth sequences in other titles, there is plenty of new material in here as well.

Ich kann nicht mehr! Immer wenn ich anfange, Rogue Leader zu spielen, kann ich einfach nicht mehr aufhören! Obwohl ich schon die US-Version rauf und runter gespielt habe, kann ich nicht genug kriegen. Diese Grafik! Dieser Sound! Obwohl ich nicht gerade Star-Wars-Fan bin, hat es mich wirklich begeistert, wie detailverliebt Factor 5 das Ganze umgesetzt hat. Selbst kleinste Details wurden 1:1 aus der Film-Vorlage übernommen. Von sämtlichen Launchtiteln konnte mich Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II am meisten begeistern und sicherlich wird das nicht nur mir so gehen.
The "killer-app" title can be easily applied to Rogue Leader. There isn't another game on the console that will cause players to drool uncontrollably while playing at launch. While the games unreal difficulty will turn many gamers into raging lunatics, most will be so shocked by the graphics, that they'll replay the stages as many times as possible just to look at them. Besides, if it gets that bad, find a friend you don't like very much and take 'em out in the muti-player mode.

Für sie stellt Star Wars: Rogue Leader eine echte Herausforderung dar, die zudem mit einer Präsentation brilliert, an der sich vergleichbare Titel in Zukunft werden messen müssen. Anfänger sollte den Titel mit vorsicht genießen. Für sie stellt er ohne Codes wirklich nur eine Grafikdemo dar, weil sie vermutlich völlig überfordert im erste Drittel des Spiels hängen bleiben werden.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II has all of the elements of making it a successful flagship release. Overlooked by many, this title should not be missed by anyone owing a GameCube. This is one of the few titles that save this system from mediocrity. As great as the game is, it isn't without flaws. A few other levels could have easily propelled this to Game of the Year status. If there was a way to incorporate a multiplayer aspect to the game, it could also have helped the longevity of the title. With few minor physics issues (awkward turning at times, and leveling problems), this is still a solid title from box cover to the zeros and ones.

Rogue Leader ist wie schon der Vorgänger keine Simulation, sondern ein Arcade-Shooter. In den einzelnen Missionen kämpft man an "original Schauplätzen" oder auch in neuen Gebieten. Ausgerüstet mit dem X-Wing, Y-Wing oder A-Wing nimmt man es mit den Tie-Fightern oder anderen Imperialer Kriegsmaschinerie auf. Das Missionsdesign ist sehr gut gelungen und jede Mission bietet andere Aufgaben und dadurch viel Abwechslung.

Pour conclure, c’est le jeu sur lequel repose pratiquement tous les espoirs de Nintendo sur la vente du Cube pour sa sortie et ils n’ont pas de soucis à se faire. Grâce à ses graphismes magnifiques, à sa maniabilité exemplaire et à sa bande son excellente, tous les possesseurs de GameCube tomberont sous son charme. Even though the experience is a short one, Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II still ranks among the top Star Wars games I've played. It's got great space and planet based missions, all the classic Star Wars elements we love, and graphics that never cease to amaze me.
Rogue Leader is an outstanding experience. The score is 7.5 because of the exciting, Star Wars, feeling the game gives. Just take heed of what has been said about the difficulties with the game as a result of the lack of subtitles.

Expect slow progress - the 11 primary campaign missions aren't easy. As well as dodging enemy fire, you'll need to destroy everything marked by the Empire. As in the original N64 game, you'll get to take part in some of the bestknown Star Wars battles, including the Death Star trench run, an attack on a Star Destroyer and the battle on the ice planet Hoth. A pity there's no multiplayer mode.

Rogue Leader does have a major flaw, and that is unclear mission objectives, which make it very easy to get become hopelessly stuck on a particular mission. The difficulty of the stages is also uneven. You struggle through a so-called "training mission", only to coast few some of the more advanced stages. Despite its inconsistencies however, Rogue Leader is still a fun title that Star Wars fans won't want to miss.

Star Wars Rogue Leader hör till de lite bättre Star Wars-spelen men kunde ha varit ännu bättre om det inte vore för dess orosmoln. Jag hade önskat mer genomtänkt bandesign men först och främst mer konkreta direktiv då jag gör misstag under spelandet. Star Wars Rogue Leader kan mycket väl underhålla Star Wars-fantasterna ett tag, men det finns bättre spel på temat än detta.
