KOTM 2 is another excellent translation of a NEO GEO arcade game! The multitude of special moves is the highlight. The head-to-head will keep two people playing for hours.
A great one-on-one fighting game spin-off with great special moves and plenty of monsters to pick from! The Two-player Battle is a real treat and will keep you playing for hours! A nice variation on the Neo Geo title.
I think this is a good game to rent. It looks good, and it's more fun when you're playing with a friend: you get to choose from a lot of different monsters. Unfortunately, without the linear "story" mode of the original Neo Geo version, King of the Monsters 2 has been reduced to a simple one-on-one fighting game.

So, fight fans, look elsewhere for your thrills. KOM 2 couldn't keep Gerry Cooney up long enough to take a swing. Until Takara finishes Samurai Shodown, somebody there should dethrone this monarch.

Small wandering creatures have been added to spice things up, but these tend to be annoying and rarely impact the contests. It's no classic, but King of the Monsters 2 does a good job of addressing the shortcomings of its predecessor.
