Description

Gentrieve is a platform game very similar to the gameplay of Super Metroid, but the levels are automatically generated. The player's character collects items to unlock new areas while freely exploring the terrain. The game is a side-scroller with emphasis on exploration and battles with varied weaponry. Borrowed elements from Super Metroid are morph balls, secret rooms, boss battles, missiles and double jumps. There are also a number of new features, such as shields, grenades, and grappling hooks that can connect to any surface.
