Hacker Evolution: Duality
Description
Hacker Evolution: Duality is a pseudohacking game and a sequel to Hacker Evolution and Hacker Evolution: Untold. It largely ditches its predecessors' command line hacking interface for a mouse-driven one.
There are two game modes included: a single player campaign that depicts the early days of Brian Spencer before the events in the other Hacker Evolution installments, and an open world deathmatch hackfest against other computer or human controlled hackers. Though command line inputs remain an option, the simulated hacking can be performed entirely by mouse, as everything from firewall cracking to denial-of-service attacks against servers has been implemented with various mouse-capable activities, such as moving sliders into positions (cracking voice print authentication) and pointing to numbers in descending order from a 8x8 grid (brute-forcing encryption).
The player can upgrade their server with better CPU, firewall, and "integrity", for which purpose the necessary funds can be stolen from rival hackers' servers. Of course, the rival hackers can also rob the player, or launch EMP attacks to take them out of the game entirely.
