ZX SpectrumYour Sinclair (Apr, 1991)
It's a scrolling run-around-the-landscape-and-collect-the-various objects game, but it's one of the most beautifully crafted collect-and-shoot-'em-ups I've seen in a long while, which is a jolly good thing for a new-release budget. It's colourful, it's fast, and it's challenging without being too difficult.

Hawk Storm is really about trial and error. You do something, find out it kills you, and try a different move next time around. Hawk Storm needs perseverance if you're going to get anywhere. You may find the movement annoying but don't give up, there is a game in here somewhere.

Another Players budget release, Hawk Storm pits you against the evil Neviks in this platform blast 'em caper. It's not overly pretty to look at, and it suffers from being extremely difficult to play. Real hard men might get a few hours of enjoyment out of it, but softies steer clear
