In Hotel Giant 2 the player is responsible for managing a hotel. As usual with these kind of games the first step is to furnish the rooms. The player has about 1400 fixtures to his disposal to construct all necessary rooms, e.g. the hotel room, the reception or the restaurant. The game also saves a finished room and uses this template for all other rooms of the same type. Of course he also needs employees, e.g. cleaners or service personnel.
When the hotel opens its doors most of the time is spent with micro managing, attending to the cusomer's complaints and expanding the hotel with luxury like swimming pools. The game is basically played in real-time but can be paused at any time. It also offers hotel locations in different countries with small differences, e.g. the French want better food and the Americans more fitness rooms. Besides the free playing mode there are a sandbox mode where the player can experiment with existing flourishing hotels and a campaign where he needs to reach certain goals in existing hotels.
