Amelia and Terror of the Night

Amelia and Terror of the Night is an interactive storybook for children with narration and text in both English and Polish. It is set in a faraway land called the Mushroom Clearing where the girl Amelia lives in a house in the woods with a tortoise (Little Pencil), a teddy bear (Teddy Teddy) and a kitten (Kitty Patter). One day Little Pencil's soul is stolen by Whine, the Terror of the Night, and the friends decide to rescue it.

The game consists of 25 interactive scenes with an introduction screen between each one. Each scene furthers the story and provides some interactive options. Up to three hidden stars can be located per scene and when 60 are found a hidden level is unlocked, but arrows allow children to move through scenes right away as there are no requirements for completion. Most of the scenes show areas with a dotted line. When these are clicked or tapped an animation is shown, such as changing the environment or making an animal appear. There are 180 hidden animations in total. Tilting the device left or right provides a small amount of scrolling to reveal more of the environment. Other interactive options are using a flashlight to locate an animal while hiding for another, changing day to night, cracking glass, dressing up and equipping characters and rotating planets. There are also two mini-games: Tic-Tac-Toe with insects and a 'Simon says' variant with an animal orchestra.
